Holy smokes is there a lot going on. Tomorrow the annual Bicycle Film Festival begins here in New York City and yes it’s their 10th one. We were the first beer sponsor of BFF’s inaugural event and we’re happy, once again, to be their beer sponsor for a bevy of events and afterparties celebrating bicycles and bike culture. Because they’re so much fun. So much fun that Brooklyn Brewery is giving away two all-access passes for the duration of the fest (June 16 – 20).

For the past 10 years or so, Brooklyn Brewery has been supporting Transportation Alternatives in a variety of ways: monetarily, beer-ily, serving on their board-ily. If you don’t already know, Transportation Alternatives is New York City’s leading advocates for bicycling, walking, and public transit. On Tuesday, Nov 17th at 7pm, they’re kicking off their new campaign, Biking Rules, at BAM with a film program comprised of short narratives, animations, and documentaries that promote bicycling in New York City. The evening event will include prizes for jury-selected films and a special reception courtesy of us.

Transportation Alternatives presents a special evening screening of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) to promote why Biking Rules in NYC. Over 80 artists submitted new and creative images, documentaries, narratives and animations that promote safe, civic-minded cycling as part of T.A.’s Biking Rules campaign. Come see the premiere of jury-selected PSA entries at BAMCinematek. The evening will include prizes and a special reception afterward with complimentary beer courtesy of, who else, The Brooklyn Brewery.
